Our Historical Inheritance  -  A Center of Power in Trøndelag  -  Volume V

This book covers the period from about 1100 to 1700 and has become a substantial contribution to the knowledge base of Skatval and Trøndelag. With its about 600 pages it deals with all important historical incidents in these centuries, including persons, places, legislation, other regulations, descriptions of the communities and the rural life and professions. We must mention in particular the very thorough description of the last Archbishop of Norway, Olav Engelbrektsson, his life at Steinvikholm Castle and its implications on the local society and on the history of Norway.
