Volume IV was presented
in November 2005 and covers the general historical basis for life
in the Skatval area. This means the area geology, climate, flora and
fauna as well as the first settlements and their development through
the period from 8-9000 BC until about 1030 AC. It also covers lapp
settlements, the use of runes and the mark of the landowners, and it
also gives insight into the Norse language and the origin of
topographic and farm names. The period after 1030 AC will be dealt with in additional books.
